Policies & ESOS

Your rights and our obligations as a registered provider of courses to overseas students.

The ESOS framework

As a CRICOS-registered provider (CRICOS 04079M), Thames delivers courses to overseas students under the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code. The ESOS framework protects the rights of international students, including receiving the information, support and quality of education promised to you.

You can read more about your rights and responsibilities at the Australian Government’s ESOS information page: dewr.gov.au/esos-framework and studyaustralia.gov.au.

Refunds

Thames maintains a refund policy setting out the circumstances in which tuition fees may be refunded, including provider and student default under the ESOS framework. The applicable refund terms are set out in your written agreement (Letter of Offer) before you accept your place.

Complaints & appeals

Thames is committed to handling complaints and appeals fairly, promptly and confidentially. Students are encouraged to raise concerns with the college first. Independent external avenues (such as the Overseas Students Ombudsman for international students) are available if a matter cannot be resolved internally.
